Muse takes home gold at Property Week Awards
Muse beat off some strong competition at the recent prestigious Property Week Awards to take home two national awards.
The team was highly commended for Property Week’s hotly contested national Developer of the Year, with judges commenting that Muse “demonstrated resilience in the face of COVID”, calling the submission “hugely impressive, showing excellent performance”.
Salford’s New Bailey won the Placemaking Award from a shortlist of 15 schemes across the country.
Delivered by The English Cities Fund (ECF) - a joint venture between Muse, Legal & General and Homes England - the scheme is a game-changing, mixed-use scheme that has transformed a once underutilised brownfield space along the River Irwell into a bustling commercial hub.
The scheme was regarded by the judges as a “very successful transformation of a large site” that has “created a genuine sense of place, full of life and activity”.
Liz Hamson, Editor of Property Week commented: “For many businesses, just to have survived the past 18 months is an achievement. Yet many have done more than that and thrived, sometimes against all the odds. They deserve to be lauded, as do those who have risen to the myriad fresh challenges facing the sector.”
