For the sixth time in eight years, Muse will look to defend its title as Commercial Developer of The Year, following a highly successful year providing transformational regeneration schemes across the region, with highlights including delivering 718,500 sq ft commercial space, with 645,000 sq ft already pre-let, 410 homes for rent and sale, 633 car parking spaces developed, 168 hotel bedrooms and 54 EV charging points.
Seven categories submitted directly by Muse include, Commercial Developer of the Year, Commercial Development (Time Square, Warrington), Placemaking (Time Square, Warrington), Property Deal (Schroders’ forward funding deal at Cheadle Royal and BLM’s 75,000 sq ft Two New Bailey Square deal), Property Deal of The Year (the formation of Wirral Growth Company), and Commercial Development (Riverside House, New Bailey).
Two further entries were submitted in the Design Excellence category by Muse’s architects Leach Rhodes Walker and Allford Hall Monaghan Morris for Warrington’s Time Square and Riverside House – Muse’s North West regional home - respectively.
Phil Mayall, regional director at Muse, said: “We’re proud to be named in such illustrious company, as part of our contribution to delivering repurposed and reimagined town and city centre regeneration across the region. Insider’s North West Property Awards are highly regarded in our industry, so we’re excited about this record-breaking milestone, which is testament to the hard work and tenacity of both our colleagues and partners alike.
"What we’re currently experiencing is an unprecedented situation that is affecting all people and businesses across the length and breadth of the country. Our experience tells us that while it’s right to focus on the issue at hand, it’s also equally important to be ready for when the time comes to kickstart the country’s recovery, which will come from our towns and cities – the engine rooms of our economy - and our commitment to delivering positive social and economic prosperity is unwavering."
The winners will be announced at the annual award ceremony, which will take place on Friday 2 October.
