Brixton regeneration in OAS Awards win
Muse Developments has won the Best Building Outside London gong at this year’s OAS Development Awards for its mixed-use scheme in the heart of Brixton, delivered in partnership with London Borough of Lambeth and sister company, Morgan Sindall Construction.
Many of the industry’s leading figures from across the capital came together at the Tower of London Pavilion, to recognise excellence in office development over the last 12 months.
The Cartwright Pickard-designed scheme, consolidated 14 buildings into two council-owned, energy-efficient buildings – a 120,000 sq ft civic building and a full refurbishment of the Grade II listed town hall – 120 homes at Brook and Ivor House, along with retail/leisure space.
Mike Auger, regional director at Muse Developments, said: “We are proud to receive this coveted award on behalf of partners for our Brixton scheme, which is a crucial development for both the council and the wider community.
“Our holistic approach to collaboration with partners really showcases what can, and has been achieved. It recognises our commitment to the communities we serve, and importantly highlights the tenacity of our regional team.”
