Salford Central is a game-changer! Repurposing a former surface car park and derelict area of Salford into a safe and vibrant mixed-use destination.

Bringing over 50 acres back to life, Salford Central has two distinct locations; New Bailey – a thriving commercial community with city-centre living and a bustling leisure scene, and Chapel Street – an area that’s created an inspiring community, thanks to the delivery of hundreds of high-quality homes.

Once complete, Salford Central will have created over 11,000 new homes, and have delivered over 2.2 million sq ft of commercial space, 261,000 sq ft of retail space, over 1,200 car parking spaces, 90 hotel bedrooms, 849 new homes, extensive public realm and a link bridge to connect New Bailey with Manchester’s Spinningfields.

Salford Central is being delivered by The English Cities Fund – our strategic joint venture with Legal & General and Homes England – in partnership with Salford City Council.
