St Paul’s Square is the gateway to Liverpool's new Central Business District, a prime business quarter centred on Old Hall Street and Pall Mall. The CBD masterplan provides for in excess of 1.5 million square feet of high quality commercial floorspace, apartments, ancillary retail space, extensive new public realm and car parking.
St Paul's Square comprises five buildings overlooking a stunning landscaped public square, which, in itself, will become a new inner-city destination. The first phase comprises 125,000 square feet of prime office space (pre-let to law firm Hill Dickinson), 50 apartments, a restaurant and a 400 space car park (clad in tropical hardwood from renewable sources), all overlooking the square. Phase 2 will provide 133,000 square feet of Grade A office accommodation, incorporating the highest design standards and advanced technology to create a stunning landmark building which will deliver significant savings in energy costs.
The first phase of the project includes private sector investment of circa £40 million, rising to £80 million by project completion. When completed, the development will provide workplaces for 3,500 people and will represent one of the cornerstones of Liverpool’s European City of Culture mantle in 2008.
Pall Mall forms the major part of the new Central Business District, to which St Paul’s Square forms the gateway.
