Swindon Town Centre
This project involves the development of an under utilised 20 acre zone between Swindon railway station and the retail core of the town. The scheme will provide a substantially sized public open square and a series of new streets surrounded by 280,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, a 250 bedroom hotel, a new bus interchange, 608,000 sq ft of office space and 450 residential units (30% of which will be affordable), delivered over a number of phases.
Our design proposals will significantly enhance Swindon’s vitality, creating a real 18 hour urban culture that will become a destination of choice for workers, shoppers and families. The design also improves permeability and retains good access to the town’s heritage.
The scheme has been granted outline planning permission by Swindon Borough Council.
