Shuttle Bus FAQs
How often does the service run?
It will run twice a day in the morning and twice in the evening – see the provisional timetable. The service will be Monday – Friday except Bank Holidays.
Where will it run from/to?
It will run from/to Stockport Train Station via Stockport Bus Station direct to Cheadle Royal Business Park. In addition one service in the morning and evening will go from/to Heald Green Rail Station.
Where will it stop on the Business Park?
The scheduled stops are Lakeside One, Lakeside Two, Brooks Drive One, Brooks Drive Two and the Management Centre. The order will depend on the bookings received.
How big is the bus?
Initially it will be a 16 seater but this can be reviewed if there is a demand.
Will it carry wheelchairs?
Yes, if necessary but this will reduce the capacity of the bus. Prior booking is essential.
What will the fare be?
Initially it will be £1 each way from Stockport and £1.50 return and 50p each way from Heald Green and 75p return. The fare is paid to the driver.
How do I participate?
In order to satisfy Bus Regulations, all users need to register by ringing the Administrators and supplying details. The user will then be given a personal code number to use when booking. The user can register even if they do not intend to use the bus immediately.
How do I book?
The user rings easy-go during office hours and give details of the journey or journeys the user wishes to make including time, pick up point and set down point. These details will be supplied to the driver who will check the user onto the bus and collect the fare. Bookings can be made for one journey or multiple journeys up to 14 days in advance.
Can I book on-line?
Not at present but a system is being developed.
In an emergency, could I just turn up at the stop?
Yes, but the user can only travel if there is non-booked room on the bus. If the user is not already registered he will need to show an ID card for a Company on the Business Park or some proof that he is traveling to a Company on the Business Park. The driver will take details and register him with the administrators. The Administrators reserve the right to check with the Employer. Please bear in mind that the bus may not stop at bus stops on the Park where no bookings have been received from that stop.
