Blackpool Central Business District

Blackpool's new Central Business District is a major regeneration project in the heart of the town.  Muse has been appointed by Blackpool Council as development partner to bring about transformational change to an area extending to 25 acres around Blackpool North Station.

Our masterplan for the scheme provides for a new central business district and civic quarter comprising 1.1 million sq ft of development including hotels, office buildings, a foodstore, retail, cafes and restaurants and a new transport interchange.  Outline planning permission for the masterplan has been secured and the first phase is due to commence on site in 2012. 

The Central Business District  is of such a scale that it will transform a run down and neglected part of the town and revitalise the central area, helping to re-establish Blackpool as the principal commercial and administrative centre of the Fylde sub-region.
