22 March 2008 - Homebuyers looking to snap up an apartment in Cargo, the first development in the multi-million pound regeneration of Millbay, will be able to view two stunning new show flats which are opening from this weekend (March 22).
It will be the first chance for prospective residents to see for themselves the high quality specification of Cargo’s waterfront apartments and townhouses.
Cargo, in Millbay Road, is the first phase of Millbay’s regeneration, which is spearheading the wider renaissance of Plymouth and will be, quite simply, one of the finest urban redevelopments in Europe. An outstanding contemporary development, Cargo features a total of 134 homes, including a range of one and two bed apartments, four bed townhouses, underground car parking and a landscaped courtyard garden.
Andrew Bullivant, of joint agents King Sturge, said: “It’s very exciting to be at the stage where the new Cargo apartments are taking shape and we are able to show people around completed show homes within the development. With its fantastic location and plans for a host of retail and leisure attractions, Millbay is going to be completely transformed and we’re predicting it will rapidly become one of the most sought-after areas in Plymouth. The message we’ll be giving people, and in particular first time buyers, is that if you want to get in early to the next big thing in Plymouth then Cargo is your opportunity to get a highly specified property at a really competitive price.”
Cargo is designed by award-winning architects Acanthus Ferguson Mann who set out to create something which was stylish and contemporary and which would deliver a real impact as a new landmark building for Millbay. It has already been included in a nationwide exhibition highlighting some of the UK’s top designs for new homes. This followed Cargo’s shortlisting in the prestigious Housing Design Awards 2007, backed by the UK’s leading architectural organisations to promotes excellence and sustainability in home design.
The Cargo sales suite in Millbay Road is open every day between10am–5pm.
