Blackpool MSCP Scoops Award
Monday 10th March 2014
In a ceremony held at the Lancaster London hotel on Friday, the multi-storey car park at our Talbot Gateway scheme in Blackpool won the British Parking Awards 2014 ‘Best Refurbishment’ award.
The judges were particularly impressed by the building’s design, lighting and improved customer experience.
The MSCP, the second oldest building of its type in the country, is part of the first phase of development at Talbot Gateway which also includes a council office building and a Sainsbury’s supermarket. With space for 650 cars, it includes 20,000 sq ft of retail space at ground floor.
The car park was designed by Potter & Holmes and our main contractor for the refurbishment was Tolent Construction.
The British Parking Awards were launched by Parking Review magazine in 2002 to recognise excellence and achievement in parking management, design and innovation.
