The existing landscape of Lingley Mere has distinct characteristics with mature native woodland along the western boundary, extensively planned and managed landscaping around the existing buildings and open grassland across the eastern sector.  The park provides a range of habitats supporting a cross section of wildlife and nature plant species. The masterplan for development takes account of these existing natural features and wildlife, whilst realising the potential to add to the biodiversity of the landscape.
