Working with New East Manchester, we have acquired several adjacent worn-out industrial sites in Clayton Brook, opposite the City of Manchester Stadium and Sportcity, with a view to adding beneficial contribution to the new East Manchester economy through a new mix of uses.
Masterplanning of the 24 acre area looks to create three distinct neighbourhoods, each with its own character. The northern area will comprise a hotel, apartments, retail and commercial space that respond to the Stadium and associated planned initiatives diagonally opposite the major junction. The central and southern zones will progressively include a greater element of residential accommodation, including family homes and social and affordable housing, along with appropriate other uses, and moving to lower rise at the southern edge from medium rise in the centre.
