Planning consent has been secured for this exciting 700,000 sq ft mixed-use development on 5.5 acres which will deliver 651 private and affordable dwellings, along with new retail/ leisure amenities, and revitalise a local market.
This is a radical scheme to build a new commercial district, new housing and a refreshed high street within sight of Canary Wharf. Adjacent to London’s only 4-way modal transport interchange it is within the Thames Gateway and Olympic areas.
Our partner, Newham Council, is the major landowner, and ECf has acquired two other key sites to help kick start the scheme. We are discussing and refining our proposals with the Council and the London Thames Gateway UDC, which was established as planning and public funding authority to take forward major schemes in the area with local partners.
